I am a follower of Christ Jesus. This, I believe, makes me a daughter of the King. This basically sums up who I am, but I’ll go ahead and share some more about myself.
I am the daughter of Cary and Fran McKee. Cary, or “Coach” as he is often referred to by his former football players, is now the head pastor at More 2 Life Ministries of Okeechobee, Fla. He has a heart full of mercy and a passion for developing men of God. Fran is a full-time high school algebra teacher and a full-time partner in my father’s ministry. Together, they are the most selfless, compassionate and intentional people I have ever known.
I am a sister to a brother who is four years younger than me. Brandon McKee is smarter, funnier, taller and all around ‘cooler’ than I am. He is my best friend and kryptonite; he knows how to push my buttons and bring out the worst in me. However, I’m okay with that because I know he loves me, and love covers a multitude of sins. He served as the Florida FFA State President in 2014-2015, and he’s now a student at the University of Florida. I’m one proud sister.
I am a graduate of the University of Florida. I graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree from the Agricultural Education and Communication Department, specializing in Communications and Leadership Development. I also graduated in December 2015 with a Masters of Science in Agricultural Leadership from Texas A&M University. Don’t ask me what I’m going to do with those degrees. Ask God if you really want to know, but I bet that He won’t tell you either. He sure hasn’t told me yet. That’s okay, though.
I am passionate about My Jesus, Leadership, Interpersonal College Student Development (I know, random), Social Justice, Agriculture and Global Sustainability, and Hair Products. Give me a book or sit down and talk to me about any of these subjects and you will become my best friend.
I am “Extroverted, Intuitive, Feelings-oriented, and Judgmental.” Anyone who is familiar with the Myers-Briggs Personality Test would understand exactly what I mean by this and where I’m coming from. I appreciate how David Deida describes ENFJs:
Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds.
(If you’re not familiar with the 16 personality types, go ahead and take the test and read about yourself here.)
It’s my honest hope that as you learn a little about me and God I also get to know you as well. So reach out somehow!
